I was born in South Africa, and after many years of traveling and moving around, I finally settled in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia in 2000 with my husband and two daughters. As a self-taught photographer, I have explored every aspect of photography through books, videos, workshops, conventions and my own experimentation. My interests in the art are diverse, and my photography comes from many sources. Polaroid cameras, antique box cameras, my iPhone, and of course my trusty Canon digital SLR.
I love to travel, and even loading my car with cameras and heading off on a day of exploration in my own locale is a treat for me. I have evolved as an individual AND a photographer. I found my passion, dove in, and do it wholeheartedly each day. Today, my work mainly revolves around portraits, stock photography, fine art & weddings. I support all my local art leagues, and through them I am able to exhibit and sell work to collectors as well as enter into juried competitions. I am over the moon to say that I have made sales, won competitions, and even been published. Amidst all of this, I carve out the time for personal projects. Whether planned or on a whim, it is paramount for artists to undertake projects just because they have the creativity in them that needs a release.
